John C. Wiles

John C. Wiles grew up in Watertown, South Dakota. He graduated from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL (BS 1970) and Oklahoma City University School of Law (JD 1974). He has served as a South Dakota Assistant Attorney General from 1975 to 1982; as a member of and Chairman for the South Dakota Commission of Gaming; as a member of and Chairman of the South Dakota Bar Disciplinary Committee; and as a judge in the local Teen Court Program.

John’s practice is focused on business and corporate law, real estate, estate planning, probate and civil jury trials.
John R. Delzer

John R. Delzer, a Hamlin County native, graduated from Western Michigan Thomas M. Cooley Law School with a Juris Doctorate in September 2011, and he was admitted to the South Dakota Bar in May 2012.

Prior to attending law school, John obtained a Bachelor of Science in agronomy (plant science) from South Dakota State University in December 2000. He was a research agronomist and sales agronomist focusing on the agricultural chemical business. He then worked in the seed division of Land O’ Lakes in western Minneota and eastern South Dakota for eight years. Born and raised on a farm, John began farming with his father in 2004 and remains an active and material participant in the grain farm located in both Brookings and Kingsbury Counties.

In 2013, John opened his law office at Lake Poinsett, SD. John was appointed by the Hamlin County Commissioners to be the Hamlin County State’s Attorney in 2014 and continues to serve in that capacity. John’s general practice focuses on agricultural law, contracts, real estate, estate planning/probate, zoning and land use and criminal defense in several surrounding counties.

Amanda M. Thole

Amanda M. Thole grew up in Dawson, Minnesota. She graduated from Augustana College, now Augustana University, where she majored in Government/International Affairs and History (BA 2010). Amanda worked as the Archivist for the Center for Western Studies at Augustana University for two years before attending law school. She graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2014 (JD 2014).

Amanda worked as a law clerk in Minnesota before making her home in Watertown, South Dakota. Amanda’s practice areas include family law, estate planning, probate, criminal law, and general litigation. In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, going to the lake, reading, and baking.
